What is MobileMultimedia?

MobileMultimedia offers you the possibility to browse technical specifications, user agents and UAprofs of more than 4000 mobile phones. You can use these specifications in various ways, from satisfying your curiosity to building knowledge for your mobile services. You can also use MobileMultimedia's free mobile detection / redirection called MobileDetect.

UAprof / manufacturer

UAprofs are basically XML files provided by mobile phone manufacturers where you can find most of the phone features. Those files are usually hosted by the manufacturer but you can find the location of those files by checking the HTTP header called X_WAP_PROFILE (or x-wap-profile) sent by your mobile browser each time you visit a page.

UAprofs are unique for every phone model, they allow you to detect mobile phones and adapt your mobile pages / content to your visitor's phone capacities. In some cases, UAprofs are not transmitted, in that case you might need to identify the user agent to detect which phone is visiting your pages.
